TCS Archery – St. Jude E-Championship Virtual Tournament January 6, 2023

Archery, Cougar Athletics

The Varsity Archery team’s sixth event of the season was our third virtual tournament benefiting St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.  Although the team was a little rusty coming off the holiday break, there were some very good individual scores.

Team and individual places will be determined after the tournament closes on January 31st.

The team’s NASP score of 2,778 was the third highest NASP score of the year.

The team’s highest 10 meter target score (49) was shot by Charles Young.  The highest 10 meter end (140), the highest 15 meter target score (48), the highest 15 meter end (134), and the team’s best flight score of 274 were all shot by Adam Tepper.  The 274 flight score tied Andrew Little’s program high score set earlier this season.

NASP tournament personal bests were scored by four TCS archers: John Ainsworth (179-previous 140), Leighton Braglia (215-previous 209), Adam Tepper (274-previous 273), and Tonya Underwood (201-previous 190).

The next tournament is scheduled for Saturday, January 14rh in Statesboro, GA for GIAA State tournament.
