TCS Archery – St. Jude E-Championship Virtual Tournament December 9

Archery, Cougar Athletics

The Varsity Archery team’s fifth event of the season was our second virtual tournament benefiting St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.  Although scheduled for Friday, December 9th, twelve of the team archers shot for score on Tuesday, December 6th due to anticipated inclement weather for Friday.  Sure enough, it rained Friday afternoon.  The remaining four archers (Christopher Martini, Charlie Kish, Adam Tepper and Victoria Trunk) shot for score on their own time.  That little bit of sacrifice resulted in some great results – a new program team NASP record high score.

The team’s highest 10 meter target score (49) was shot by Andrew Little.  The highest 10 meter end (141) was shot by both Andrew Little and Charles Young.  The highest 15 meter target score (46) was shot by Adam Tepper.  The highest 15 meter end (127) was shot by both Davey Byrnes and Adam Tepper.  Gabe Cronin recorded the teams best flight score of 267.

NASP tournament personal bests were scored by three TCS archers: Leighton Braglia (209-previous 204), Davey Byrnes (264-previous 244), and Cooper Van Wingerden (225-previous 214).

The next tournament is scheduled for Friday, January 6, 2023 on campus for the St. Jude E-Championship Charity-January tournament.
