TCS Archery Showcase January 22
I first wish to take the opportunity to thank all the parents and family members that braved the chilly 38 degree weather in support of their archers. Fortunately, the bright sunshine made the temperature tolerable for the events. I believe all present had a great time. Those who were unable to attend the event due to conflict or illness were missed.
The showcase began with a 10m warm up and balloon pop – not a single balloon survived. The first event was 10m Tic-Tac-Toe. The result was an all Tepper final with the victor Adam narrowly defeating runner up Eric. For the second event, we moved the ground quivers back for 15m Tic-Tac-Toe. Gabe Cronin found himself in the winner’s circle having bested John Chandler in the finals. Then it was on to the fruit shoot. The archers were all very proficient at piercing every last apple, cantaloupe and squash. Some even went after photos of myself scoring several direct hits.
Final thanks for the Dunkin Doughnut and Chick-fil-A refreshments for snacking in between and during the events. Looking forward to seeing you at the next event – our final mock tournament (TCS Archery range) on Wednesday, January 26th.
