Lady Cougars Secure Conference Win – 22 – 4 over MSA
Dateline: Milton, Ga. – The Lady Cougars capped off a successful week as they picked up a road win at Mill Springs Acadmey on Friday afternoon. After facing two consecutive” down to the wire” and physical games, the Friday game offered something of a respite. Taking on an underrmanned opponent, with reduced time quarters, and in a match without referees (the MSA Athletic Director and our own Coach Lauren Soares were pressed into emergency service), the team went into scrimmage mode. Using the opportunity to rest Alyssa Briggs, the squad took a 6 – 0 lead going into halftime. In the second half, the offense flowed easier allowing the visitors to escape with a 22 -4 win, allowing them to preserve their “perfect” January, and to annex another important conference victory.
