Mill Springs Meet #1 Recap

Cougar Athletics, Cross Country

Yesterday the Cougar Cross Country team returned to Mill Springs Academy to compete in the 1st Invitational at MSA. Both teams faced the mighty course with Sophomore Madison Clark dashing into 4th place with a time of 25:53. Freshman Malia Richards set a new personal record of 30:53 placing 13th. Freshman Hannah Katz followed Malia placing 16th with a time of 32:28. Frosh Eleanor Gaffneystone worked her way to a personal record of 36:37 placing 21st. Go Lady Cougars!

The boys team performed well placing 3rd overall- way to go! Ryan Gaffneystone kicked off the race leading the boys with a time of 21:41 placing 5th overall. Noah Velasco followed closely with a time of 22:50 placing 7th.  Nick Elliot came in flying with a time of 27:14 placing 17th.  Jack McGrew came in with a time of 31:04 placing 27th. Eric Born Followed closely with a time of 32:07 placing 30th. Freshman Dean Kirksey set a new record of 41:47 placing 34th.

Great job to both teams for their hard work! For our next meet, the Cougars will be returning to MSA to compete in their second meet- let’s keep going up and up!
