Horizon Christian Academy Warrior Invitational Results
Saturday, the High School Cross Country teams competed among eight teams and some unattached student-athletes on the tight, technical trails of the mostly shaded Horizon Warrior 5,000m course. While the girls of TCS did not field a complete team of five, Madison Clark earned 9th place with a 24:07, and a coveted Top Ten Varsity Finisher Medal! Mary Addison Burch ran an even paced race to finish at 32:14 in 31st.
In the varsity boys competition, Ryan Gaffneystone raced well into 16th position at 21:11, as teammate William McGuire chased him into the chute for 17th in 21:21. Neophyte, Max Rusert ran a gutsy initial race to finish in 35th at 25:12. Senior Noah Velasco placed 37th in 25:59, while newcomer Luke Edwards sprinted for 42nd at 27:50. Frosh, Jonah Lorman placed 49th in 30:19, as senior Jack McGrew broke into the top 50 with a 31:37. Rookie, Kenny Lewis, ran tough to finish in 53rd at 36:27.
