TCS Archery – 2023 Panola Mountain State Park Archery 3D Trial

Archery, Cougar Athletics

With the success of the GIAA state tournament behind us, it was time for our third annual trek to Panola Mountain State Park for some time on the archery 3D trail.  When we left campus, it was 31 degrees.  Fortunately, the temperature increased steadily though out the morning to a beautifully sunny 52 degrees.  The archers warmed up with a few ends at the static range, and then it was off down the 22 target 3D trail.  Targets included moose, bear, deer, mountain goat, wolf, turkey, fox, armadillo and more.  After once around the trail, we took a quick break for lunch before returning for some additional time on the trail.  This event always serves as a enjoyable break from the competitive nature of the season.
