2024 NASP National Qualifying Event for Georgia – 02/10/2024
The Varsity Archery team posted scores for the National Qualifying Event for Georgia by competing in the Wilbanks Feb Tournament (State Qualifier). The team was unable to post a team score as a qualifying roster must include 4 female archers. Despite this, there were some very good individual performances.

The team’s highest 10 meter target score (48) was shot by Wil Moore. Andrew Little scored the highest 10 meter round with a 137. The highest 15 meter target score (47) as well the highest 15 meter round (130) was shot by Michael Shaw.
NASP tournament personal bests were scored by three archers: Elizabeth Chandler (221-previous 184), Michael Shaw (263-previous 198), and Cooper Van Wingerden (263-previous 254).
This concludes a successful season of competition with many accomplishments: 2 highest GIAA State tournament score (2,900), 12 personal best scores shot, 7 personal scoring goals achieved, and 13 qualified as Academic Archer.
Congratulations to the senior archers who have continued to take advance this program: John Ainsworth, Zac Fairclough, Charlie Kish, Andrew Little, Allie Sisk, Alex Verren and Charles Young. This class collectively accumulated 133 NASP tournament appearances over six seasons. Charles Young set the school record with 25 career NASP tournament appearances surpassing Adam Tepper’s 19. Your contributions have been immense and will be missed.
