Varsity Soccer Defeats the Howard Hawks
The Cougars made their second trip in the last week to Howard School on Wednesday, and this time the weather cooperated. Playing under partly cloudy skies, the Cougars defeated the Hawks 8-3 to complete an undefeated regular season run through the AAC. The Cougars now enter the AAC playoffs as the #1 seed as they pursue their 3rd consecutive AAC Championship.
The Cougars dominated the Hawks from start to finish yesterday. Early goals from Shane Hendrickson, Dalton Lantz, and Larry Orsini got TCS off to a fast start. Although the Cougars conceded two goals in the first half, two more goals from Dalton and Larry gave TCS a comfortable 5-2 lead at half time.
In the second half, the Cougars continued their domination. Two more goals from Dalton and a second goal from Shane put the game out of reach, and TCS was able to cruise to a 8-3 victory.
Although the Cougars are AAC Regular Season champs, their record is now wiped clean for the playoffs. TCS plays Cumberland on Tuesday in the AAC semifinal. The game will be played at Mill Springs at 4pm.
