Varsity Cross Country Team Time Trials
Saturday, our high school Cougar Cross Country teams remained local and ran a team time trial to determine an accurate baseline for training sessions. All Harriers ran the challenging course with eight punchy hills to their current best. Larry Orsini led the Cougar charge with an 18:28; Camden Michaud finished second with a 23:17. Braden Smith ran 27:24 for third, as Alex Hogg earned fourth at 27:26. Nick Smith and Nick Daugherty tied with a 27:37, while Alex Nebel sprinted through the chute as the first girl in 28:46. Nick Helm ran 29:00 for a respectable showing in 7th, as Grace Marriott chased him across the line in 29:03 for second place girl. Nathan Dunbar placed 8th for the boys in 29:08, while Mike Janyska earned 9th at 32:34, while Hunter Cool placed 10th in 33:03. Kyndel Abercrombie ran third for the Cougars in 36:58, as neophyte up-and-comer, Ben Thomas placed 11th in 38:58. The Cougars depart this Wednesday at 2:00PM for the Invitational shootout at St. George Episcopal School in Milner. Thank you for your continued support of our stellar student-athletes!
