Varsity Archery North Georgia Start Up November 4
The Varsity Archery team’s first event of the season required just a short hop over to Woodstock for the North Georgia Start Up hosted by Kings Academy. The TCS travel team was depleted by illness and scheduling conflicts with only nine archers competing, but those who attended made the best of the opportunity.
Tournament results (10 meter only):
- Andrew Little 278 (12 tens) HS Division Gold medalist
- Charles Young 272 (11 tens) HS Division Silver medalist
- Charlie Kish 264 (8 tens) HS Division Bronze medalist
- AJ Hormel 259 (8 tens)
- Zac Fairclough 257 (8 tens)
- Allie Sisk 251 (6 tens)
- Nicholas Mehta 206 (2 tens)
- Michael Shaw 190 (1 ten)
- John Ainsworth 185 (0 tens)
The team’s highest 10 meter target score (48) was shot by both Andrew Little (twice) and Charlie Kish. The 10 meter high round (141) was shot by Andrew Little. The team posted the highest team score receiving the 1st Place trophy.
As this was a 10 meter only tour tournament, progress could only be measured against the 10 meter baseline results from 11/01. All archers posted improved 10 meter scores: John Ainsworth (12 points), Zac Fairclough (24 points), AJ Hormel (12 points), Charlie Kish (14 points), Andrew Little (5 points), Nicholas Mehta (6 points), Michael Shaw (59 points), Allie Sisk (13 points) and Charles Young (12 points).
The next tournament is scheduled for Wednesday, November 15th at the TCS Archery range for the NASP® 2024 St. Jude E-Championship Charity Tournament – November 2023.
