TCS Cougars Place 4th in 2021 GISA AA State Track and Field Championship Meeting of Athletes
The boys’ Track and Field team placed 4th in the current GISA track and field state championship held at the shiny stadium in Locust Grove (hosted by the gracious Strong Rock Christian School) from 29 April through 01 May. The team of Kyle Kimble, Alex Hogg, Nicholas Daugherty and Aidan Briggs established a new existing school record in the 4X400m relay in placing 4th, breaking the 2009 record set by Chambers, Kacergis, Webb and Anderson. The current record is 3:44.54. Kyle Kimble ran 11.59 for 4th in the 100m dash; Kimble returned to the composite track to earn a silver medal in the 200m dash in 23.34. Aidan Briggs placed 5th in the 400m race with a 55.46. Briggs also placed 5th in the high jump with a leap of 5’10”. Interestingly, Aidan placed a solid 4th in the long jump without ever touching the board with a 19’ 06” effort. Nicholas Daugherty earned bronze in the 800m at 2:12.40, while earning 4th places in both the 1600m and 3200m competitions at 5:09 and 11:21, respectively. Nick Helm placed 10th in the 3200m with a 12:36. Toby Nwokedi placed 7th in the discus at 111’, while he earned 12th in the shot with a put of 32’04.75. Alex Hogg earned 8th in the high jump with a jump of 5’06” and placed 12th in the triple jump at 37’05.50”. Thank you for your support and encouragement!
