Yesterday’s meet at Mill Springs marked a rainy yet successful meet for The Cottage School!
There were a total of three teams consisting of Cumberland Cyclones, Mill Springs Academy
Mustangs, and The Cottage School Cougars. The Cougars placed both in the boys and girls
races with flying colors! Times are not yet posted on the Georgia Mile split website (soon to
come). Bri Worrell led the ladies 5k race finishing first with an outstanding record below 28
minutes. Please congratulate Bri on earning the Runner of the Week Award.
The boys team crushed the muddy course with Nick Daugherty leading with a time below 20
minutes coming in second place. Senior Nick Helm came dashing behind Daugherty in a
remarkable third place with a time under 22 minutes. Freshman Charlie Kish vanquished the
course with an amazing new personal record of 24:56. Junior Alex Yager came speedily through
the finish line with a personal record below 29 minutes. Senior Nick Smith ran 1 mile with a time
