TCS Cougar Varsity Cross Country News!

Cougar Athletics, Cross Country

Saturday your Cougar harriers raced alongside student-athletes form Horizon Christian, Wilson, Dominion, Lanier, Fidelis, and Pinecrest in Cumming, Georgia, on a soggy, rolling, technical course while breathing the soup-like air.  While the official results are unavailable currently, the lads ran strong and enjoyed themselves immensely.  Veterans Nick Daugherty and Camden Michaud dueled in the slog for a near photo finish in the boys’ elite race to finish in 7th and 8th respectively, for 23:07 and 23:08.

Returning stalwart, Nick Helm burst into the top 20 in the same race with a 26:52 for 5,000m.

In the boys’ varsity race, Nate Dunbar led the charge with a 28:59, with newcomer and frosh, Charlie Kish following at 34:47.  Senior Mike Janyska chased him into the chute with a 35:49, and Alex Yager finished in 38:22.

Unfortunately, since we did not field squads of five or more, we were unable to score as a team.  Please continue to encourage the cross country team as they pursue excellence in life.  Thank you parents for the support and fresh fruit!
