Ribbon Cutting Event for Discovery Cottage – November 15 at 9am
The Cottage School is celebrating the addition of an elementary building, the Discovery Cottage, with a
ribbon cutting event held on campus November 15, 2018 at 9:00am.
The Cottage School is in its 34th year and has experienced a growth in student population especially in
the area of elementary school students. In 2016, 4th and 5th grade classes were added. With the new
addition, we can accommodate up to 4 full classes (40 students) in the Discovery Cottage.
This addition furthers our commitment to fulfill our mission of building a sense of self for students with
special learning needs through academic and experiential programming, The Cottage School prepares
individuals for fulfilment of their true potential as confident, productive and independent adults.
“We are excited to have this opportunity to provide a new building that is a safe, positive and productive
environment for our 4th and 5th graders to dream. Lon Watters said it best, ‘School is a building which
has four walls with tomorrow inside.’ Tomorrow is really bright at The Cottage School. We now have a
building for our students to dream big. Thank you to our Board of Directors and the Roswell community
for their support,” said Dr. Steven Palmer, Head of School.
The Cottage School looks forward to this celebration of growth as we continue to meet the needs of the
community. For more information contact Kim Weber kimw@cottageschool.org.
