Cougars defeat Panthers in first matchup since 2019; 58-44
11/10/2021: The Cottage School Cougars played host to their first home game of the season versus the Atlanta Area School for the Deaf Panthers. The last time these two teams met, TCS won their sixth AAC title in 2019.
After a slow start with TCS leading just 11-9 after the first period, Cottage opened the flood gates and poured in 39 points over the next two frames. Matter of fact, TCS held a comfortable 50-27 edge after three quarters and enjoyed working the ball around to get as many teammates as possible to score in the final period. This effort was not to waste as senior, Alex Yager knocked down a free throw line jump shot for his first varsity basket. The bench jumped and cheered as if they had won another title. The Cougars went on to win 58-44 to move to 3-0 on the season.
TCS will host another home game on Friday versus Covenant Christian Academy, for their third game this week.
