AAC Championship Track Meet – March 30, 2023

Cougar Athletics, Track

Yesterday the Cougars set out to Mill Springs to compete in the famous AAC championship and performed excellently, great job! For the girls 100-meter dash, Senior Celeste Jeoffroy sprinted through placing 7th with a time of16.36. 8th grader Leah Nasr stepped up to the challenge by placing 10th with a time of 21.81. For the 200 meters, Neophyte- Mary Addison Berch took silver with a time of 33.23 while Celeste Jeoffroy took 6th place with a time of 38.08. In the 400 meter dash, veteran Hannah Katz earned bronze with a time of 1:27.95 with Eleanor Gaffneystone placing 6th with a time of 1:46.04. For the 800 meters, Sophomore Madison Clark took gold with a time of 3:00.49 while Finley Love followed suit earning silver with a time of 3:16.71. For the 1600, Madison Clark took the lead once again earning gold with a time of 6:52.18. Finley Love dominated the race earning silver with a time of 7:34.15. In the 3200 meters, Madison Clark came in 1st with a time of 14:26.81 with Hannah Katz coming in 2nd with a time of 17:22.53.  For the 4×100 relay, Celeste Jeoffroy, Hannah Katz, Leah Nasr, and Caroline McCants came dashing in placing 4th with a time of 1:14.91. For the 4×200 relay, Addison Nowakowski, Caroline McCants, Leah Nasr, and Lexi Harrison sprinted to the finish placing 4th with a time of 2:57.44. For the famous 4×400 meter relay, the girls A team, Mary-Addison Berch, Madison Clark, Finley Love, and Hannah Katz took gold with a time of 5:48.61. For the girls B team, Leah Nasr, Lexi Harrison, Caroline McCants, and Eleanor Gaffneystone performed well but unfortunately were not placed for this meet. For the discus, Mary-Addison Berch placed 4th with a throw of 46-08.00 while Finley Love placed 5th with a throw of   43-03.00. For the shotput, Celeste Jeoffroy placed 4th with a put of 17-06.00. Caroline McCants followed closely, placing 7th with a put of 11-05.00. The girls placed 2nd overall. Congratulations to Madison Clark who placed as the overall female with the most points.  Great job to all the girls who participated!!

For the boys 100-meter dash, Nick Elliot ran across the finish line placing 5th with a time of 13.24 while Junior Jack McGrew followed closely placing 6th with a time of 13.35. For the 200 meters, Jack McGrew placed 5th with a time of 27.51 with newcomer Austin Conduah placing 6th with a time of 30.81. For the 400 meters, Jack McGrew landed in 4th place with a time of 1:04.82. 8th grader Jonah Lorman placed 9th with a time of 1:17.74. For the 800 meters, Sophomore Ryan Gaffneystone placed 4th with a time of 2:35.94. Junior Noah Velasco laced 6th with a time of 2:44.62. For the 1600, Ryan Gaffneystone placed in 4th with a time of 5:59.29 with Noah Velasco following placing 5th with a time of 6:02.99. In the 3200, 6th grader Connor Armistead came in 5th place with a time of 14:30.76 with Nicholas Robson coming in 6th with a time of 15:26.92. For the boys 110-meter hurdles Senior Nick Elliot dominated the race earning gold with a time of 21.31. For the 300 meter hurdles, 8th grade Wil Moore ran a great race earning himself a bronze with a time of 56.39 while Gabe Cronin placed 4th with a time of 59.33. For the 4×100 relay, the boys A team Ryan Gaffneystone, Jack McGrew, Brendan Bullard, Will Moore placed 5th with a time of 58.63. The boys B team Connor Armistead, Eric Born, Aiden Misnuner, Tyler Robinson did not place but performed well!. For the 4×200 meter relay, the A group, Gabel Cronin Nicholas Robson, Will Moore, Tyler Robinson placed 4th with a time of 2:11.60. For the 4×400, the boys A group- Ryan Gaffneystone, Will Moore, Nick Elliott, Jonah Lorman placed 4th with a time of 5:05.92. The B team which consisted of Eric Born, Tyler Robinson, Nicholas Robson, and Gabriel Cronin did not place but performed well. For the boys high jump rookie Brendan Bullard placed 4th clearing the bar at 4-00.00. For the long jump, Senior Nick Elliot took gold once more with a jump of 16-03.00 while Brendan Bullard placed 5th with a jump of 13-02.00. For the triple jump, Noah Velasco earned bronze with a jump             of 30-04.00. For the boys discus, Senior Aiden Misnuner led the team to victory earning gold with a throw of 82-05.00 while Gabe Cronin earned silver with a throw of 79-05.00. For the shotput, Senior Adam Tepper placed 3rd with a put of 26-03.00 while Aiden Misnuner placed 4th with a put of 25-11.00. The boys team placed 2nd overall, well done! Thank you for all of your support and we look forward to seeing the Cougars perform in the GAC meet on the 14th of April. Go Cougars!!
