Mike Janyska Celebrates Senior Lunch with Dr. Steve Palmer
TCS Senior Mike Janyska and his parents, Peter and Patrice, were treated to lunch with Head of School Dr. Steve Palmer on Wednesday. This was included with his “Senior VIP Package” as part of a Glitter auction item which includes VIP parking and special seating on graduation day.
The Janyska family is truly part of the TCS family. Mike in High School, Patrice teaching science in the Middle School and Peter as a frequent substitute teacher on campus, there is always a Janyska about!
Mike shared a little about his TCS experience during lunch and what his future plans include.
He has been at TCS since 9th grade after relocating to Georgia from Arkansas with his family. He really appreciates the smaller size of our campus! Compared to his school in Arkansas.
He was reluctant to tell me his favorite teacher, he couldn’t pick just one. He shared that Allen, Katja, Roshonda, Cecil, Hector and Savannah have all had a huge impact on his success. His favorite subject was World History with Lyle.
There is so much he will miss about TCS but is looking forward to be attending KSU in the fall. He plans to pursue his interest in sports management.
He shared a few words of wisdom to the Class of 2022. Don’t procrastinate! Apply to programs early so you aren’t as stressed at the end of your senior year.
Good luck Mike, we will miss your smile on campus!
