Brent Hendrickson, Varsity Golf Coach
Brent Hendrickson has been a part of the Cougar family dating back to 2005 as a parent. He has coached numerous seasons of youth soccer, basketball, and baseball including 3 years of travel baseball. This is his third year as the Cougar varsity golf coach.
Brent played competitive golf in high school and extended golf as a potential career by participating on a development reserve squad at Purdue University while getting his Electrical Engineering degree. Brent has always had a passion for golf since he was very young. During his over 30 year corporate career working in the utility industry, Brent has leveraged his golf passion to advance business, including tournament organization, “Caddy Shack” and “Big Break” style entertainment competition, and golf lessons. A round of golf with a client or potential business partner can reveal more than the equivalent time in a meeting room.
Brent operates a business leading business development endeavors for multiple energy companies. He enjoys the change of pace and investing time to teaching and mentoring the golf team. Through sharing his experiences and continuous endeavor to improve his own game, he hopes to foster golf as a valuable and fun asset to each individual.
Coach Brent is married to his beautiful wife Shari. Shari also enjoys golf and currently serves TCS as the director of the after school program. They have 4 children and reside in Marietta. Their oldest, Stuart has an associate engineering degree and works in Sydney, Australia. Scott, a 2010 TCS Graduate, Valedictorian, and TCS Hall of Fame inductee is also a 2014 UGA Graduate and currently lives in Colorado and serves as a wildland firefighter and ski instructor. Shannon is a sophmore at Georgia College and State University Studying to be a teacher. Their youngest Shane is a junior at TCS.
