For the Lady Cougars, Desi Levan earned second place in the 100m high hurdles,  sixth in the long jump and fifth in the 300m intermediate hurdles.  Janet Keller placed second in the 3200 m run, sixth in the 1600m run and eighth in the 800 meter run. Amanda Tilley placed first in the girl’s shot put and third in the discus.  Ms. Tilley is now less than one foot away from breaking a long standing school record in putting the shot. Scorers for the Mens’ Varsity contingency, Patrick Thompson out-sprinted all-comers in the varsity boys 200 meter dash by winning the event going away.  The Men’s A-team scored a point by placing sixth in the 4X400 meter relay.  Team members included: Cass Thurston, Artie Leach, Alex Terry and Patrick Thompson. Jake Utley placed fourth in the shot put and fifth in the discus competitions respectively, earning a valuable six points.  While Artie Leach and Cass Thurston did not score points in either the 3200m or 1600m runs, Artie broke a long-standing Middle School record in the 1600 (previously held by Sam Kacergis) by two seconds, and Mr. Thurston established personal records in each of his events. The coaching staff thanks all those parents and fans in attendance, and all the athletes who make this team a priority.
