Middle School Track & Field Team Starts Out Strong
The Middle School Cougars track and field team just completed their first two MAAC meets both at Fellowship Christian’s new 400-meter all-weather track. At their second running-events-only meet on Thursday during very cold weather most athletes surpassed their best times from the first meet last week. Highlights included Patrick breaking the 100 meter Middle School record in a time of 12.2 seconds, and breaking his own school record in the 200 meters at 26.4 seconds. Artie improved his personal best in the 1600 meter race at 6:01. Next Tuesday 8th graders Artie, Patrick, Reed, Morgan, Andrea, Ray, and James will be competing with the Varsity team in TCS’s first AAC meet at Mill Springs. On Wednesday the MS team has another MAAC meet at Holy Innocents track.
