HS Summer School

Founded in 1985 by educators Joe and Jacque Digieso, Ph.D., The Cottage School provides an innovative alternative for students having difficulty succeeding in a traditional school setting. The school’s mission is to build a sense of self for students with special learning needs, through academic and experiential programming… to prepare young people for the fulfillment of their true potential as confident, productive, and independent adults.

The Cottage School serves a diverse enrollment of more than 200 students in its Middle School, High School, After School for Credit, and Summer Success Programs. The Cottage School has a talented, dedicated staff of 50 which includes more than 40 professional educators who meet the highest accreditation standards and have extensive experience in working with special needs adolescents. The school offers its unique programs on a 23-acre wooded campus in Roswell, Georgia, featuring six cottage-style buildings where state-of-the-art amenities in a relaxed setting create a vibrant learning environment. Facilities include indoor and outdoor classrooms, science labs, computer labs, gymnasium and a mountain biking trail.

Fully accredited by the Southern Association of Independent Schools, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, and the Georgia Accrediting Commission, Inc., The Cottage School frequently receives referrals from local and national educators, psychologists, and guidance counselors.
