It was an incredible evening at Mill Springs Academy last night!
Your Lady Cougars beat our longtime rivals, the Mustangs, in a nail-biting five game competition. It came down to the wire when your Lady Cougars beat the Mustangs in the final fifth game 15-13. Your team captain, Peyton Gomez scored nine points with two kills, Courtney Connell was our highest scorer with 11 points, Hannah Walker and Vika Kane each had an impressive two kills.
Sophie Murad scored six points, and Andrea Key and Emeline Wolf assisted on defense.
Your coaches are very proud of our now 2-0 season, and yes, Coach Amie may have gotten a bit choked up in our celebratory huddle stating, “Ladies this is the first time we have secured a win against our rivals in at least 5 years.” Coaches Amie and Jeannine are very proud of our ladies!
