TCS Cougars, Destin Leidner and Simon Hirschhorn secured their first win of the season at Line One Doubles against the first place team, Brandon Hall, on March 31! Simon and Destin outplayed their opponents with minimal unforced errors—Destin’s now famous Kill Shot and Simon’s backboard abilities to return anything he receives!
Yesterday in a match against New Day Academy, Destin and his opponent held serve after ten long games making the score 5-5. Destin pushed through and brought in a tight win of 8-6. Simon and middle schooler, Noah Storm, played a fierce match at Line One doubles resulting in a loss but clear individual wins for both players. Simon played the doubles line after a tough singles match at Line One and showed true sportsmanship and longevity by divorcing the prior loss and playing his best with Noah. Noah shocked his opponents with a Rocket Ace that left his opponent’s jaw agape!
